Major gift success alongside exceptional annual revenue growth.
BACKGROUND
DGB consulted to Orygen – the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health – and helped set up the fundraising program that grew annual fundraising income from $360,000 per annum to over $3million annually in just two years.
THE PROJECT
In addition, DGB supported the Capital Campaign for the Orygen Centre. There were significant challenges to overcome. The fundraising program was small, Orygen had only one fundraising staff member at the time. The organisation had never run a capital campaign or major gifts program before, and there was no developed culture of philanthropy. Orygen’s first million-dollar gift set them on the path to success and the long-awaited redevelopment of the Orygen Centre will transform the way they work.
